During World War II, Glenn Miller' volunteered to take his band overseas to entertain the troops. A TV program aired about Glen Miller's disappearance. It seems he was on a small plane which was supposed to catch catch up with his band in France. Some bomber planes had to turn back because of weather and unloaded their extra bombs in the water near England. The young pilot evidently didn't know about this area, and they were both killed. Glen Miller's band only played four years, but his music is still popular. This CD features the Crew Chiefs and Moonlight Serenaders. Included are all time favorites: 1. Chattanooga Choo Choo 2. Count Basie from Kansas City picked his musicians carefully. If things didn't work out, he disbanded and soon started a new band.
